Blue lotus has been traditionally revered for its historical and cultural significance. Often associated with embodiment rituals, it has been used in various practices for centuries. Some also enjoy its intoxicating aromatics for perfumery. The plant contains alkaloids such as apomorphine and nuciferene, which are naturally occurring compounds found in blue lotus.

The throat chakra, or Vishuddha in Sanskrit is symbolized by the blue lotus as it is said to have an association with opening the throat, allowing us to speak our truth and listen with compassion.
