Turkey tail (Trametes versicolor) is one of the most extensively studied mushrooms in modern research, particularly in East Asian countries where it has been integrated into traditional practices for centuries. This remarkable fungus contains naturally occurring polysaccharopeptides, including the compound PSK (polysaccharide-K), along with phenols, flavonoids, and prebiotic fibers.
